2 dashes Angostura Bitters
.5 oz Pedro Ximenz Sherry
.75 oz Vida Mezcal
1.5 oz Barbancourt 8 year Haitian Rum
1 orange twist
1 lime twist
build in a double old fashion glass as you would an Old Fashioned.
Begin with the bitters, add the PX, add the Mescal, finish with the Barbancourt, add one large hand cut clear ice cube to the glass and stir.
express the lime and orange twists into the glass and place them in the glass as you would with an old fashioned…I’m not a fan of rubbing the twists on the rim-that can actually impart a little too much bitterness, and the expressing will impart the right amount of essence.
