- 2 oz Rum (preferably pale, aged 3 years)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cane sugar syrup
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with chipped ice. Shake 4-7 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled coupé glass.
- Garnish (optional) with a split lime wheel straddling the rim, never dropped into to cocktail.
