Beach Bummed Out
El dorado 12-year rum
Rich demerara/ginger syrup
A hearty sense of self-satisfaction
In a mixing glass, add two hearty dashes of angostura bitters, .25 ounces of rich demerara ginger syrup (2 parts demerara sugar to one part fresh ginger and one part boiling water, blended and strained), 2.5 ounces El Dorado 12-year rum, and enough ice to fill glass. Stir for 30 seconds and strain into a double old-fashioned glass with a large chunk of ice, and garnish with the sense of self-satisfaction that you just made a great rum cocktail with only three ingredients. Dad would be so proud.
